What to expect when you first land in lanzarote

So you've arrived in Lanzarote- where next?

Follow the signs for passport control and baggage reclaim. Remember to take everything with you and collect the correct bag from the carousel (you'd be surprised how often people take the wrong bags.)

Once through the white automatic doors, you are now in the main arrivals hall.

Getting to your villa

Transfer

If you are taking a transfer to your villa - the usual meeting point is by the rock pile directly outside the arrivals hall. (We can help you book these)

Your company will tell you where to meet them.

Taxi and Bus

If you are taking a taxi or the bus - follow the overhead signs.

There are usually taxis ready and waiting to take you.

Expect to pay up to €50 for transfers to Playa Blanca (based on 4 people)

The bus is significantly cheaper. Costing €3.30 per person and will take you directly to the Playa Blanca bus station (Lines 161 and 261)

If a hire car is your chosen method of transport.

There are company desks available in the arrivals hall or depending on your company, some have offices in the car park (your company should tell you where you can collect your car)

Take the travelator to the car park and exit using the white sliding door and follow the directions given to you.

We advise against travelling through Femés unless you have driven in Lanzarote as the road is a steep mountain pass with unguarded sides in places.

If driving in on the LZ2 from Yaiza, watch for speed cameras.

Tips

-Check you have all the correct luggage and passports before leaving the airport

-Check all costs before you accept the car

-Check the condition of the car and note any damage via photographs (to ensure you don't get a nice bill when you hand the car back)

-Check the type of fuel the car uses

-Have the phone number of the hiring company handy at all times in case you need it.
